Incident at Soledad High School

This evening, at approximately 7:00 PM, an incident occurred near the entrance of the Multi-Purpose Room/Gymnasium building at Soledad High School. The incident appeared to involve an physical altercation between two adults.  Law enforcement responded to the scene within moments. Soledad H.S. Administration was also responded. As a precautionary measure, the building was briefly placed on “Secure Campus” status. During this time, student athletes inside the building remained safely indoors. A boys’ soccer game was underway at the SHS Stadium during this time. Based on police guidance, the game was allowed to continue as there was no immediate threat to this area of campus. At this time, there is no indication that any students were involved in the incident. Indications that the incident involved a weapon are being investigated by law enforcement.  We appreciate the prompt response of law enforcement and school administrators as well as the cooperation of our students and parents in ensuring a safe environment throughout this time period.
